Shut your eyes
and think of England by John Chapman's and Anthony Marriott's |
|
Sir Justin Holbrook is a very happy
man; he has a very happy life thank you very much! A very successful business,
Valerie, his lovely wife, and a weekday penthouse retreat in the City, complete
with the occasional peccadillo, in the shape of the delectable Miss Richards,
yes... as long as the wife doesn't find out, which is extremely unlikely, life
could not be better. |
|
Unfortunately he has not added in a
few unforeseen outside factors, such as his incredibly irritating but
nevertheless, dedicated and honest, accountant, Arthur Pullen, who has just
popped into work on his day off to make sure the books are straight before his
traditional and well deserved annual holiday. |
|
He did not reckon on the sudden
arrival of his wife or indeed the impending doom that The Right Honourable Sir
Frederick Goudhurst is about to unleash on to Sir Justin's life, and at just
possibly the worst timing of all, he most certainly was not reckoning on
another attack of his old complaint Stokes-Adams!! |
|
So at this time you might be forgiven
for thinking that his day could not get a lot worse, Oh how wrong could you be
dear reader, because you have not yet been introduced to Arthurs long suffering
wife Joyce, or met the Jewish accountant Ms Rubenstein, who is mistaken for the
Doctor called to treat the stricken patient, or indeed His Highness the all
powerful Sheik Marami, who intends to re-build our Great and Proud
Nation. |
|
Can this disaster be adverted, can Sir
Justin and his merry, if somewhat shell-shocked, cohorts regain control, or
will the arrival of the real Doctor, yes there is one, (there's always one),
only make matters worse, a great deal worse!! |
