Middle-aged George undergoing a mid life crisis seeks reassurance from pretty young Jane. His wife Clare confides to her best friend and agony aunt Ruth her suspicions that husband George is having an affair and after a variety of events finds herself behaving in somewhat the same way. Mistaken identities bound and rebound and a bizarrely humorous game of make-believe is played by all.
