To the glory of God snd in ever loving memory of George Lieut. H.G. Welham M.C. Royal Sussex Regt. Killed in action whilst gallantly leading his men against an enemy stronghold - The point of honour in the attack near Valenciennes November 4th 1918 aged 27. Buried at Wargnies-Le-petit France he was a member of this choir for some years.
