| Edward Beer was the
third son of EEA Beer who was born in Margaretting, Ingatestone, Essex, and
lived in Ingatestone. |
| He was a Lance
Corporal in the 10th Batt Essex regt, Number 15785 and had enlisted in
Chelmsford. He was killed in the long Battle of the Somme, in the Battle of the
Ancre Heights, 18th October 1916 and has no known grave, but is remembered on
the Thiepval memorial, pier and face 10. He was part of the 18th Division. |
