Arthur Agnis

Arthur Agnis was the brother of Bertie Agnis and lived in Mill House in Mountessing, he had been born in Ramsden Bellhouse but lived in Mountnessing. However, like his brother he was killed in action in the Ypres Salient as he is rememberred on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He was a Private in the Essex Regt 1st Battn 203021 and died 1st Feb 1918 aged 19. Originally Arthur was in the Cambridgeshire Regt (330964) and had transferred to the Essex.
He too was the son of Walter and Emily Agnis of Mountnessing.
