Harry George Welham

Harry George Welham was a lieutenant in the 3rd Battn attached to the 9th Battn Royal Sussex Regt. He was killed in action 4th November 1918 aged 27, and held the MC for gallantry.
This cemetery is within the area traversed by the British Expeditionary Force in August 1914, but was then occupied by the Germans until almost the end of the war. Wargnies-le-Petit Communal Cemetery contains 13 Commonwealth burials of the First World War. A nmumber of whom fell on the same day.
Harry was the son of Frank and Ellen welham of Mountnessing Road, Billericay.
