Henry John Polley

Henry John Polley was a Lance Corporal (service number 18048) in the 10th Battn Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regt). On 13th July 1917 the Battalion was part of the 41st Brigade and was involved in the Flanders Offensive, but Henry died aged 28 and is buried in St.Giles Churchyard, Mountnessing. The churchyard has a total of 5 Commonwealth War Graves.
He was the son of Mrs Mary Ann Polley and lived at 1 Waterloo Cottages, Mountessing.
