It has been about a year since the last spate of thefts around the Stock area. Can everyone be alert, as thefts of lawn mowers etc, have begun again in the surrounding area, although not in Stock at present. If you are people in vehicles acting suspiciously or any persons you do not recognize or you are suspicious please phone the Police. We are still having problems with Bogus callers pretending to be workman or salesman in the Chelmsford area (in Stock as well), please look out for these horrible people who seem to prey on the good will of kind elderly people. Please always ask for identification. If these people are Genuine, they will not mind you asking for identification or phoning their contact number which should be on there ID card. If in doubt, again phone the police. Please look out for your neighbours, rely on your gut feeling, a lot of villains are caught like that. Any number plates of vehicles you see in suspicious circumstances please let me know. If the vehicles/suspects are still around then please contact the police direct to get a unit to attend. If it keeps ringing please don't hang up some one will pick up the phone eventually. A quick note for parents, as the mornings are darker and the evenings are drawing in please bear in mind road safety and visibility on that very busy and nasty road. |
