| Harry George
Welham was a lieutenant in the 3rd Battn attached to the 9th Battn Royal Sussex
Regt. He was killed in action 4th November 1918 aged 27, and held the MC for
gallantry. |
| This cemetery is within the area traversed by the British
Expeditionary Force in August 1914, but was then occupied by the Germans until
almost the end of the war. Wargnies-le-Petit Communal Cemetery contains 13
Commonwealth burials of the First World War. A nmumber of whom fell on the same
day. |
| Harry was the son of Frank and Ellen welham of Mountnessing Road,
Billericay. |
